At Tri-Rivers get a jumpstart on college!
Have the opportunity to earn valuable college credits.
When secondary and postsecondary institutions link their programs to allow students to gain college credit for relevant
career-technical courses, they:
1. Eliminate unnecessary duplication of learning
2. Save students time and tuition in pursuit of higher learning.
Recognizing the need for such linkages, Tri-Rivers and many colleges have created agreements to enable secondary career-technical students to take advantage of articulation opportunities.
Tri-Rivers students who fulfill requirements specified in program-to-program agreements may earn college credit or advanced standing.
• College Tech Prep offers college-equivalent courses in high schools to qualified students who are interested in technical careers.
• Dual Enrollment allows a student to attend Tri-Rivers and be “dual-enrolled” at a community college or university. The student takes classes at either institution for credit toward their high school diploma, as well as for college credit.
• Credit Transfer (CT2) allows a student to take equivalent technical courses anywhere in the public school system and obtain technical credits (upon enrollment in higher education) without unnecessary duplication.
