The Tri-Rivers Public Safety Services students practiced water rescue skills during an exercise utilizing the Tri-Rivers Pond.Although a chilly day, the students jumped right in and practiced techniques with the guidance of their instructors.

The 2012 Adult Education Patient Care Technician Graduation was held Thursday, May 10 at 1pm in the Giauque Auditorium at Tri-Rivers Career Center.

Marion Farmers Market Opens

Marion Farmers’ Market opens Thursday, May 3! Every Thursday, May through October, 4 pm to 7pm, the group will offer “Farm Fresh Quality Locally Grown Products” in the Career Center’s West Parking Lot.

Be sure to stop by and check it out!!! Tri-Rivers will also offer items from time to time.

Buy your tickets at Tri-Rivers Main Office, during school hours May 1 thru 15, 2012.

You can pick up your dinners Tuesday, May 22, from 4 to 6pm.

You just “drive-thru” (we’ll direct you around to the front of the building) Tuesday, May 22, from 4pm to 6pm & give us your ticket, we’ll deliver your dinner right to your vehicle and you can be on your way.

Dinner includes: Grilled 1/2 Chicken, Au Gratin Potatoes, Green Beans, Roll & Butter, Cookie, Bottled Water.

All proceeds go to Tri-Rivers Scholarship Fund.

Tri-Rivers Annual Garden Center Sale is Saturday, April 28 and Saturday, May 5, 9am to 3pm. Don’t miss this opportunity!

Approximately 100 varieties of annuals grown by the students will be available. These include 6 types of tomatoes, 4 types of peppers, broccoli as well as a host of annual flowers. We will also have herbs and perennials.

Cell Pack Annual Flowering Crops—$10/flat or $1.00/3-cell pack or $1.50/4 cell pack. (prices subject to change)—Ageratum, Alyssum, Begonia, Coleus, Dianthus, Dusty Miller, Gazania, Impatiens, Lobelia, Marigold, Nicotiana, Pansy, Petunia, Portulaca, Salvia, Snapdragon, Verbena and Zinnia.

Vegetables—Broccoli, Peppers, Tomatoes and more.
