Tri-Rivers PN Program Ranks #9 out of 70 Schools in Ohio

Tri-Rivers School of Practical Nursing program has been ranked 9th out of the 70 state schools in the survey by PracticalNursing.org

“The number nine ranking speaks to our faculty members’ dedication and devotion to student success,” said Emeline Kelly, Nurse Education Programs Manager and Administrator for Tri-Rivers Adult Nursing Programs. “The faculty members in the Practical Nursing program work really hard to help students be successful in both the classrooms and clinical settings. They want to help students reach their goals and fulfill their dreams.”

According to its website, PracticalNursing.org uses a ranking methodology by “retrieving NCLEX-PN pass rates from all LPN and LVN programs state by state.”  Tri-Rivers had a 96.82% percent pass rate on the  NCLEX-PN (National Council Licensure Examination-Practical Nurse). All US state and territorial boards of nursing require a passing result on the exam for licensure as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or licensed vocational nurse (LVN).

Kelly said, “We pride ourselves on working with students as individuals. Meeting their needs as a whole person. We are there for our students to provide not only skills training but guidance in every aspect of their career journey.”

Tri-Rivers PN instructors work  closely with area healthcare providers to build relationships that benefit students once they graduate—from developing clinical sites to job placement, according to Kelly.

Tri-Rivers practical nursing program  prepares individuals with the knowledge and skills to provide nursing care to children and adults. Admission to the program is competitive among qualified applicants and there is a limited application period and exact admissions criteria are revised and updated annually.

Tri-Rivers also is the only Adult Center in the state of Ohio to offer an LPN to RN program. Other healthcare programs at the Adult Center include: Home Health Aide, IV Therapy, Patient Care Technician and Nurse Aide.
