Tri-Rivers remembers Conrad Mangus

conrad14Tri-Rivers remembers Conrad Mangus, 18, a Senior from North Union who was a student in the Digital Media & Entertainment program at the Career Center. Conrad tragically died Friday, May 8, 2015 in a drowning accident at the Richwood Lake.

His Digital Media classmates and Instructor James Toth described Conrad as passionate, caring and genuine. Mr. Toth said was quiet and pensive, and yet reached out to others. “He had a smile that was good. He was smart and had the skills to be successful in this business.”

Smiling and remembering, Mr. Toth said he also “surprisingly liked loud music. He was just an impressive young man.”

Conrad’s Digital Media Classmates made digital cards and a video tribute incorporating Mangus’ work. Conrad will also be honored at Tri-Rivers Senior Recognition Monday, May 18 at the Marion Palace Theatre at 7pm. His mom will accept his Passport and Certificates at the event.

 

Friends may call Thursday May 14, 2015 from 3-6 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, graveside services will be held Friday May 15, 2015 at the Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, with Pastor Brian Owens officiating.
