• Certified Production Technician (*12 points)
• FANUC Handling & Tool Operation & Programming (*6 points)
• Motoman Basic Programming with Material Handling (*6 points)
• OSHA 10 (*1 point)
• First Aid/CPR (*1 point)

To be successful in this field, students must be able to:
• Comprehend and use measuring devices
• Have a desire for problem solving
• Have good hand-eye coordination
and manual dexterity to use advanced machinery
• Be mature, self-motivated and work independently
• Read & comprehend material
• Meet safety requirements to operate tools

Typical Wages:

  • $10 to $30/hour
  • $60,000 and up with a degree —owners, managers, technicians salaries vary with experience/training/education

Advanced Machining Operation


Instructor Scott Jones received an Outstanding Tri-Rivers Alumni Award.  Mr. Jones graduated from Machine Trades, worked in his field and then brought his knowledge to the classroom and lab.
