Veterans: Nov. 11 TRCC is offering you FREE Services

To thank area veterans Tri-Rivers Career Center students and staff will provide complimentary services during the second annual “Services for Those Who Served Day” on Friday, November 11. “In order to plan and accommodate veterans attending the event we ask that appointments be made in advance for each of the services veterans wish to receive,” said Heather Jenkins, history instructor and one of the coordinators for the event.

Some of the services available to veterans on November 11 include:

• A Soup & Salad Bar lunch provided by our Culinary Arts students in CC Bistro—serving from 11am-12pm.

• A Wash, Wax & Vacuum vehicle service provided by our Auto technology students—vehicle drop off between 8-9am.

• Haircuts, Manicures & Pedicures provided by our Cosmetology students—appointments to begin at 12:15pm.

• Servicing lawn equipment including: Lawn mowers, Chain saws, weed eaters, Snow blowers and Power washers by our Ag & Industrial Power students—Drop off from 8-10:30am and pick up from 12-2pm.

• Pet Grooming provided by TRCC’s Veterinary Sciences program, 8:30am drop off 1pm pick-up. Pet to be groomed must be up to date on vaccinations including distemper, rabies, and bordetella.

• Portraits taken by Digital Media & Entertainment students from 9am- 2pm.

• Health check of vital signs—provided by our Health Careers Academy students from 8:30-10am and 12:30-2 pm.

• A computer safety inspection performed by our Computer Networking students from 8:30-11:30am & 12:30-2pm.

• Criminal Justice lab demonstrations for Veterans and their families about student preparation for military and or police work.
