Chef Jeff Cecil from Sullivan Culinary School demonstrated his talents to the Culinary Arts students. Prior to Sullivan, Chef Jeff was a catering chef traveling with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffett, George Strait and others. He talked to the students about college and careers while whipping up a food creation!
The 2015 National Robotics Challenge http://thenrc.org/ is at the Marion County Fairgrounds Coliseum and Evers Area April 9-11, 2015. Marion County hosts this growing event where around 1200 students from nine states will participate in Robot Mazes, Mini-Sumo contests, Robo Hockey, Bot Ball, and more!
The National Robotics Challenge opens to the public at 10 a.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for students and free for children five and under. Several area teams will be represented.
Consolidated Electric Cooperative of Mount Gilead donated $5,000 to the Tri-Rivers’ RAMTEC Vex Robotics League, Friday, March 13, 2015. “Consolidated Electric is excited about its donation to RAMTEC and to provide this amazing opportunity to the young people in Morrow County. Two of our core values are commitment to community and innovation, RAMTEC is a perfect fit!” said Pam Hawk, Vice President Marketing & HR for Consolidated.

Tri-Rivers/Lautenslager Distinguished Service 2015 Award recipients were recognized Wednesday, March 18, 2015, during the Annual Board Dinner.
The first Distinguished Service Award was presented in 1993 to Jack Lautenslager, who is often referred to as “Mr. Tri-Rivers.” Mr. Lautenslager spearheaded the efforts to pass the original levy that provided the funds to build the Career Center that opened in 1976. Read more

The second annual 2015 Shear Class Style Show & Dinner was held March 7, 2015 in the Tri-Rivers Multi-Purpose Room. Becky Salyer is the Junior Instructor and Sheri Well, the Senior Instructor. It was a magical evening. Special thanks to the event judges: Amy Johnson & Sue Brammer of Today’s Trend & Teri Norris of Angle’s Salon of Marion.
