“Continue” Scholarship honors memory of Kelton Beltz
Isabelle Calhoun, Cosmetology student, received the Kelton Beltz “Continue Scholarship.”
It was presented in honor of Kelton W. Beltz by his parents Vernon and Stacie. When Kelton’s parents said he couldn’t attend the Cosmetology program, his siblings—all of whom attended the career center—helped him gather his necessary documents. His creativity and personality shined in the program.
Sadly, Kelton passed away in February 2016 at the young age of 20. His family wishes to honor his memory by presenting a $600 scholarship to a thriving cosmetology student wishing to pursue further education.
The Kelton Beltz Continue Scholarship will forever remind us that to reach our goals, we must “continue.”
His mom, Stacie, is a 1982 graduate of the Executive Secretary program. Kelton’s siblings who attended Tri-Rivers include: Quinton, Ag Diesel; Kendell, Diversified Health Occupations; and Courtnie, Katherine and Kaitlyn in Cosmetology.
Isabelle’s parents, Faith and Dewey, were also present at the ceremony.
