Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job description

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you would be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing processing systems/types of industrial machines and supporting equipment.

 

 

Responsibilities:

·        Identify the root cause of mechanical, plumbing and electrical issues.

·        Troubleshoot, replace or repair mechanical and electrical systems.

·        Repair and perform basic maintenance on industrial machinery.

·        Implement manufacture’s recommendations and company SOPs for all machinery.

·        Maintain preventive maintenance as scheduled for machinery.

·        Ensure equipment is safely performing to required specifications.

·        Work with appropriate personnel if further attention on maintenance is necessary.

·        Diagnose/conduct plumbing and spray system maintenance on schedule as required.

·        Execute repairs as needed, fabricating, plumbing, or replacing components.

·        Assemble, install, and test electrical or electronic wiring.

·        Maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, fixtures.

·        Work in a safe manner to protect themselves and co-workers.

·        Identify unsafe conditions and corrects.

·        Work with management to resolve safety concerns.

·        Keep tools clean and in good working condition.

·        Maintain an organized work area, clean and free to move in.

·        In compliance with technical service repairs, follow food safety and biosecurity rules, policies and procedures.

·        Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

·        High School Diploma or GED preferred.

·        Prefer additional trade or technical school education – maintenance, mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical

·        Prefer 2+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance.

·        Knowledge of electrical, electrical testing devices, pneumatic and hydraulic systems

·        Maintenance experience in the food, poultry or agriculture industry is a plus.

·        Experience with safety/equipment such as LOTO, harnesses, lanyards, hoists, PPE is a plus.

·        Reading/comprehension skills necessary to follow SOP’s and other instructions/work details.

·        Able to effectively and professionally communicate.

·        Sound work ethic, honesty, team oriented and moral character

·        Detail-oriented in a in a fast-paced environment.

·        Ability to work overtime, weekends/holiday hours as required, based on production demand.

·        Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 75+lbs.
