ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the duty of the Maintenance Technician to perform all tasks and work as required to maintain the condominium property with an emphasis on carpentry work. This position could soon become supervisory for the right person at the right time.
Day-to-day responsibilities vary according to necessity and under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, as well as the ever-changing requirements of the community in order to maintain a reasonable standard of living within that community.
The Maintenance Technician will provide basic maintenance of buildings, roadway, grounds, drains and facilities of large condominium complex. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Repairing and maintaining building siding, gutters/downspouts, fencing, and light fixtures.
• Repairing drains and knowledge of building water shut-offs.
• Ensuring walkways, steps, roadways, parking areas, and signs are functioning and maintained.
• Maintain job sites and keep workspaces organized: includes workshop, storage shed and 2 ATVs.
• Assist with daily cleaning of the pool deck, clubhouse, and all facilities as well as upkeep of dog stations.
• Carpentry work with some basic electrical work.
• Maintain supplies and inventories.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Position could become more supervisory down the road.
• You will be receiving hands-on training from the best technician.
Requirements for this job:
● Must have a valid Driver License.
● Must be 18 years of age or older.
● Must be willing to take and able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
● Must have carpentry skills.
● Employee must have ability to work independently with little supervision.
● Employee should have good communication skills; will be interacting with residents as well as subcontractors.
● Willing to take direction and prioritize assignments given from Maintenance Supervisor and/or Management.
● Must be willing to work in several different environments, including outdoors throughout different seasons of the year.
● Should not be afraid of heights and ability to handle a 40 ft extension ladder and scaffolding nor getting one’s hands dirty.
● Experience with hand tools and light power tools necessary and not afraid to get dirty.
