Ramey to join ITEST Team in Washington DC

Tri-Rivers Engineering Instructor Ritch Ramey will be part of the National Science Foundation’s ITEST grant review team in Washington DC this summer.

“This will allow me to see how the grant process works and hopefully bring future robotics and STEM funding to our programs at Tri-Rivers, Marion Technical College and the surrounding area,” explained Ramey.

Ramey will be asked to read proposals and write reviews of about 10 proposals and then enter them in FastLane, the National Science Foundation (NSF) online proposal/review system. According to Robert E. Gibbs, NSF Program Director, it takes 1 to 2 hours to read a proposal and write a review.

This is a great opportunity for Mr. Ramey and will benefit our Engineering Program in many ways.
