TRFL Banquet 2013

Tri-Rivers Future Leaders have successful year

The sophomore students and staff involved in TRFL—Tri-Rivers Future Leaders—can be proud. What an awesome year of giving back to the community, competing in contests and learning leadership skills.

TRFL Liaison Mrs. Salyer presents  with Schweinfurth with an award.

Marlene Ike, speaker for the evening, has worked with students from Alaska to Florida, preparing young people for leadership by teaching them how to recognize their talents, grow their skills and work toward their goals.

TRFL’s busy year included:
• Leadership Camp at Recreations Unlimited
• Participating in Santa’s Lil Shoppe
• Sponsored two foster children from Morrow County during holidays
• Rang the bell for Salvation Army
• Participated in the first annual “Above and Beyond Day” where students donated their time and energy to Recreational Unlimited and the Richwood Fairgrounds where they painted, repaired fences and weeded flower beds.

Officer team members recognized:
Parliamentarian-Stacy Persinger; Reporter-Dustin Blevins; Treasurer-Justen Easterday; Secretary-Isaiah Cox;  Vice President-Tiffany Shirk;  President-Brittany Somerlot.

Congrats to all involved. A special thank you to Mrs. Salyer, the TRFL Liaison. Their slogan this year was “Above and Beyond.” They certainly lived up to that. Keep it going!!
