School Board Member to present at OSBA

Local Educator, School Board Member to

speak Ohio School Board Association Conference

Bob Haas, board president at River Valley and a board member at Tri-Rivers Career Center, has been selected as a speaker on the topic of College Credit Transfers Explained at the 58th annual Ohio School Boards Association Capital Conference. The conference will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus, Nov. 10-13.

Dr. Haas will lead one of more than 100 educational sessions offered at the OSBA Capital Conference. He is the Associate Dean of Business and Information Technologies at Marion Technical College and is also a Regional Manager for Ohio’s Career-Technical Credit Transfer initiative. He earned a PhD in Higher Education in December 2013 from the University of Toledo.

At least 10,000 people are expected to attend this year’s conference, which features more than 100 sessions of panel discussions, workshops, one-on-one assistance and nationally renowned speakers addressing a variety of educational issues.
